ENC 2026: rosters lock May 10, clarification on substitute rules

RFT received clarification from the ENC on a question that had been hanging over the scene: how substitutes will be handled and whether they will be able to attend on-site.

For nations going through the qualifiers, standard rules apply. All seven players from the submitted roster can be used across a series, with substitutions made between games. Provisions are also in place for emergency situations if required.

For nations receiving a direct invitation, the framework is slightly different. A later deadline will be set for those teams to finalize their on-site competing roster. The ENC will cover travel and accommodation only for the core competing team — typically the starting line-up (five players in LoL), the coach and the NTM. Additional players and staff, including substitutes, are still welcome on-site but must be funded by the NTP itself.
