K/DA release FIRESTARTER EP, set to perform at Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony

Three days after the title single, Riot Games’ virtual pop group follow up with a four-track EP, new voices for Evelynn and Kai’Sa, and a slot on the Worlds 2026 Finals stage in New York.

K/DA’s new EP, FIRESTARTER, is out. The four-track record follows the title single, released on 19 October, and is the group’s first EP since ALL OUT. MIYEON and SOYEON of I-dle return as Ahri and Akali. Two newcomers take over the other half of the group: singer-songwriter and fashion designer Sophie Powers voices Evelynn, and BRIT Award-nominated singer Mimi Webb steps in as Kai’Sa.

The single came with a music video by Fortiche, the Paris-based studio behind Arcane and K/DA’s 2018 breakout “POP/STARS”. Director Marietta Ren described the visual direction as more mature and fashion-forward than before, with the group framed on a burning runway where haute couture meets fire.

FIRESTARTER, WATCH ME and NEVER GOING BACK make up the first three tracks. The fourth, GIRLS, brings in DJ Sona, one of League’s earliest virtual artists, who has not featured on a release since 2015.

Maria Egan, Global Head of Music & Events at Riot Games, framed the project as a balance between legacy and change in the official announcement:

With the FIRESTARTER EP, we wanted to respect what made people fall in love with K/DA while giving Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa the space to evolve as artists after all this time.

The EP also comes with a big live date. K/DA will perform at the Worlds 2026 Finals Opening Ceremony on 14 November at Barclays Center in New York, sharing the bill with True Damage, Riot’s virtual hip-hop collective.

K/DA’s catalogue has passed 2.7 billion streams and 1.8 billion video views since their 2018 debut, with “POP/STARS” certified platinum by the RIAA. The EP is available now on all major streaming platforms, with CD and vinyl pre-orders open.
