LCK Awards 2026: Chovy makes it four MVPs in a row, Keria makes history and Dplus KIA sweep the individual honors
Riot Games unveiled the 2026 LCK Regular Season awards on Thursday, and the headlines wrote themselves. Jeong "Chovy
Chovy topped the vote with 194 points, securing the First Team midlane for the third consecutive year. The Gen.G star also collected 11 Player of the Match awards during the regular season — the most in the league, worth 1,100 points — making him the most-POM'd player for the third year running on top of his MVP four-peat. The MVP race itself was never really close: Chovy gathered 148 points, well clear of Peyz (92) and Kanavi (55), who completed the top three.
Keria's selection carries historic weight. It is his seventh career First Team appearance, breaking the tie with Canyon at six and making him the sole record holder. Kanavi earned his first selection in what was his first full LCK season, while Zeus returns to the First Team after a three-year absence.
Kim "cvMax" Dae-ho was voted Head Coach of the Year after guiding Dplus KIA into the Legends Group and posting a 6-2 record across rounds three and four — the most wins of any Legends Group team over that stretch. He collected 145 points, ahead of Hanwha Life Esports' Yun "Homme" Soung-young (102) and Gen.G's Yoo "Ryu" Sang-wook (73). The award caps a remarkable first season at the helm.
Alongside him, botlaner Shin "Smash" Geum-jae took home Rookie of the Year, an award a player can only ever win once in their career. Dplus KIA actually locked out the top two: Smash (174 points) edged his own teammate, support Oh "Career" Hyeong-seok (146), in a two-horse race, with Namgung "Namgung" Seong-hoon a distant third (47).
The winners were decided by around forty voters: each team's head coach and one player representative, Korean and international broadcast talent, analyst desk members and media. Players cannot vote for their own teammates — which makes some ballots fun to dissect.
Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, for example, went for the most logical reading of the season: a full Gen.G lineup as his First Team and a full Hanwha Life Esports lineup as his Second Team, mirroring the two teams' final standings in the regular season.
The awards close the book on the regular season. The playoffs begin on Saturday, August 29, with the Woori Bank LCK Finals weekend set for September 12 and 13 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul's Olympic Park.
