BLG make LPL history with all-five First Team as knight claims fourth MVP

Zhuo "Knight" Ding capped the individual honours by taking Split 2 MVP — the fourth regular season MVP award of his career, after Summer 2019, Summer 2020 and Spring 2024. The mid laner once again anchored the most feared lineup in the region, and his latest accolade leaves little doubt over who enters the playoffs as favourites.
The Second and Third All-Pro Teams were spread across the chasing pack. Anyone's Legend placed Flandre and Tarzan on the Second Team alongside JD Gaming's HongQ and Vampire, plus Top Esports' JackeyLove. JDG were the most represented side on the Third Team, with Xiaoxu, Junjia and Gala joined by TES' Creme and AL's Kael.

The Rookie of the Split award went to ThunderTalk Gaming's Kim "Heru" Min-seong. The newcomer enjoyed a breakout run, knocking Invictus Gaming out 3-0 with TT at the Knight's Rivals and picking up the series MVP in the process — a statement performance to cap his first split.
The bigger picture looms large. BLG have already claimed both the First Stand title and the Split 1 crown this year, and a dominant Split 2 regular season only feeds the growing talk of a potential Golden Road — sweeping every major title in a single season. It is a feat no team has ever completed. One of the closest anyone came was JDG in 2023, who took LPL Spring, MSI and LPL Summer before falling at Worlds — a run anchored, fittingly, by a younger knight. Three years on, the mid laner finds himself at the heart of another Chinese super-team chasing the same ghost, this time in BLG colours.

With awards settled, attention now turns to the playoffs and the race for MSI qualification in Daejeon, where BLG will look to convert their regular season dominance into the LPL's top seed — and take the next step on a road no one has ever finished.
