Caps was named Finals MVP, adding a 17th title to his legendary career — the most by far of any player in the history of the region, with former teammate Luka "Perkz" Perković second on eight. The Dane delivered highlight-reel moments throughout the series, none bigger than his Elder fight outplay in game five. As SkewMond put it, "He was mostly serious — he was saving the smile for the trophy."
But SkewMond deserves equal recognition. The French jungler was instrumental in establishing the early game leads that defined the series. His growth within G2 over the past year has been remarkable, and he acknowledged it himself. "I gained so much experience, inside and outside of the game. That helped me grow as a player and as a leader in this team." More on SkewMond's growth in an exclusive post-final interview coming soon.
LEC Versus' viewership, a good sign?
The LEC Versus delivered strong broadcast numbers throughout the split, with the arrival of Los Ratones as an invited ERL team playing a significant role in driving audience interest — their final regular season match against Team Vitality peaked at 592K viewers. Yet even without them, the G2 vs KC decider peaked at 730K concurrent viewers according to Esports Charts, landing close to last year's LEC Winter final between the same two teams, which reached 801K. The split's average viewership of 317K remained in line with last year's Winter split as well (328K).
