Tyrion joins Team WE as new starting jungler, Monki benched

According to Chinese insider 尧阿尧y (Yao-a-yao) on Weibo, Wang "Monki" Meng-Qi — signed in 2025 from EDG's academy and a cornerstone of the roster during WE's strong Split 2 run last year, when the team secured a top-4 finish — needs time to "recover his form and adjust his mental state." The jungler is stepping away from the starting line-up, though his departure isn't framed as permanent: the source explicitly mentions a possible return down the line.

As for Tyrion, this marks his LPL debut. The young jungler spent two years in the Chinese academy league with Invictus Gaming Young and then LNG Academy, before finally landing his first real shot as an LPL starter with WE. A bet on youth from the organization, which is hoping to turn things around before it's too late in the playoffs race — and already set the potential foundations for the future.
Top Esports have made a similar move recently, with 369 stepping away for academy toplaner ZUIAN, and it has paid off so far with 5 clean sweeps in a row for the org in LPL Split 2.
