“Know My Name”: every reference in the Worlds 2026 anthem video
Riot Games released “Know My Name” on 9 October, one week before Worlds 2026 begin. The 13th Worlds anthem marks True Damage’s comeback and the first time one of Riot’s virtual artists perform it. The video follows Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok through his six titles, up to T1’s three-peat. Here is what it shows, and every reference hidden in it, from the first shot to the last.
What the video shows
The video opens on a defeat. Faker falls in the 2017 final, and the story rewinds to the three titles that came before it: 2013, 2015 and 2016.
Then comes the drought. Faker walks alone while the emblems of other world champions appear behind him, starting with Samsung Galaxy.
The tone shifts when Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong, Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun and Choi “Zeus” Woo-je join him. The Z(D)OFGK roster carry the second half of the video, through the 2022 heartbreak and up to the three-peat sealed against KT Rolster last year.
Every easter egg, in order
1. Ruler’s Flash-ult (Worlds 2017 final). Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk’s Varus catches Faker with a Flash into Chain of Corruption, the play that ended the SKT dynasty. Faker then breaks down in tears, as he did on stage that night.
2. Faker’s Ahri (Worlds 2013 semi-finals). Back to the first title. Faker’s Ahri kills Kim “PraY” Jong-in’s Corki during the SKT vs NaJin Black Sword series.
3. MaRin's Gnar (Worlds 2015 final). Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-hwan's Gnar sets up the last fight of the 2015 final.
4. The top lane escape (Worlds 2016 semi-finals). Faker’s Orianna survives a ROX Tigers gank in the top lane.
5. Gumayusi and Doongi. Gumayusi appears with the headband he wore at Worlds 2024, holding his dog Doongi.
6. The RNG draft (Worlds 2022 quarter-finals). The picks and bans shown on screen are those of game two between RNG and T1.
7. The failed backdoor (Worlds 2022 final). Faker on Viktor and Zeus on Gwen teleport towards DRX’s base. Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon’s Aatrox and Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo’s Azir stop them, and DRX take the title.
8. Keria’s tears. The video recreates the shot of Faker and Oner looking over at Keria crying after the loss to DRX.
9. The Worlds 2023 banners. Three details share the same frame:
“Chasing the Golden Road” — JDG arrived as overwhelming favourites, on pace to win every title of the year.
“Can T1 break the curse” — ZOFGK had lost five grand finals in a row and carried a reputation as chokers.
The banners of LNG, JDG and WBG, the three LPL teams T1 beat on their way to the trophy.
10. Faker’s Akali (Worlds 2023 final). Faker kills Li “Xiaohu” Yuan-hao and Liu “Crisp” Qing-Song in game three. T1 win Worlds 2023.
11. The Galio ult (Worlds 2024 final). Faker’s Galio ults onto Zeus’s Gragas to buy time for the rest of T1, who arrive and clean up the fight. It is Faker’s fifth title.
12. Zeus says goodbye. Zeus waves to Faker. He left T1 after the 2024 title, to everyone’s surprise.
13. Doran’s engage (Worlds 2025 final). Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon’s Gragas starts the fight. Gumayusi finds and kills Seo “Deokdam” Dae-gil while Faker takes on Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong.
14. Keria’s save. Bdd’s Cassiopeia ults Faker, and Keria’s Renata Glasc ult saves him. The three-peat follows.
