Viper to undergo treatment in Korea over worsening hand injury

In a statement posted on Weibo on May 21, BLG explained that the decision was made after a comprehensive evaluation and following the latest medical advice, with both the player's health and his upcoming competitive schedule in mind. The organisation apologised to fans who had bought tickets for the event and thanked the show's organisers for their understanding.

The announcement also appears to push back against speculation that had emerged after one of Viper's agents at Shadow Corp revealed his return to Korea. Some observers wondered whether the trip was tied to a potential appeal to KeSPA over his exclusion from the Korean roster for the Asian Games. BLG's statement frames the visit strictly as a medical matter, though it does not technically rule out a round trip with other business addressed while he is home.
The timing is tight. BLG begin their LPL playoffs campaign on May 29, leaving just one week for Viper to undergo examination, receive treatment and return to the active roster.
