The confrontation was the boiling point of a feud that started on socials. In the days before the series, Tatu had publicly flamed the RED Canids jungler over his solo queue behavior — the final trigger reportedly being a screenshot of STEPZ calling him a "dog" in game. By the time the teams met on stage, STEPZ refused to shake Tatu's hand.
FURIA went on to sweep the series 3-0, sending RED Canids to the lower bracket against Vivo Keyd Stars.
Riot has authorized FURIA to register an emergency substitute, valid only for the LOS series, with a Thursday 1 PM (BRT) deadline. The organization backed its player while drawing the line: "Rivalry and provocation are part of the CBLOL, and we like that. What cannot happen is crossing the line of respect for the opponent."
Tatu, for his part, apologized shortly after the announcement. "I recognize I crossed the line," he wrote, adding that what weighs most is that the punishment hit his whole team rather than just himself.
