Rodrigo said a lot of ego coming in against KC, even in scrims. Does that add to the frustration after today?

For sure there's a bit more ego.

Playing against Caliste, for example — I do my best to play against him in the bot lane. There were a lot of 1v1s today... It was Viktor into Syndra, Ziggs into Kai'Sa, Lucian into Caitlyn, things like that. We weren't fully solo, but yeah, it's fun.

I think we're a bit slow getting into this meta. We came to the MSI meta late — it started at MSI. After MSI we took a 2-3 day break, which was nice honestly. Then we scrimmed one day, then it was EWC, then maybe a scrim here and there, and then a day and a half of scrims for the LEC I think. It was a bit like that. So suddenly I'm playing these matchups — I'm confident on them, but it's nice to get more games on them. I need to work on that for the Summer split. There are several bot lane mages that are OP right now — it's not just the ones I'm playing at the moment.

So you feel you lacked preparation on this meta, and it'll build up gradually across the split?

I think it's going to scale really well, for sure. I think every day we learn something good, the training is going well. We also have a lot of practice. So I'm really looking forward to the second week of scrim training back in Berlin.

Do you feel like you come out of this long, intense period — MSI, EWC, constant travel, never really any time to settle at home — as a better team? That you've grown, both as a team and as a player?

Yeah, I think we take good things from it. We learned a lot. Personally, I reflected on things, you know after MSI and EWC. I'm going to do what I've understood I need to do.

I'm hyped for the upcoming practice. I'm going to put different things in place for myself, as a person and as a player.

Despite the loss today, I think it's going to be good, and the staff is doing a really good job with the dynamic changes right now.

A last word for the fans, especially the French fans? Even though you were the enemy all weekend, plenty of them still love you.

I'm really happy to see the French fans. Every time I go outside, quite a few people come up with a smile, asking for photos, sharing moments. It was really cool. The atmosphere was really there. It was incredible today. It was a good match.
