— the devil. On Sunday, he earned it. Across the three games G2 won,
SkewMond did not die once. Not a single death.
6/0/3 on Xin Zhao in Game 2. 12/0/9 on Pantheon in Game 4. 12/0/3 on a monstrous Nasus in the decider. Three wins, zero deaths, and a series carried close to single-handedly.
He had called his shot after Game 2. Asked about the nickname, the jungler didn't flinch.
I hope that I would be able to keep this name after today's series, and I will do my best to make it as hard as possible for them.
This was not a one-sided beating. KC led the series 2-1, and for long stretches they were the better team in lane.
Kyeahoo delivered two of the best individual games on the floor — Cassiopeia in Game 1, Viktor in Game 3 — and both ended as KC wins.

Game 5 turned on a single player — the wrong one for KC. Kim "Canna" Chang-dong had not been at his best across the series, and the Nidalee pick in the decider brought nothing. He greeded waves, got caught, and forced his team into uncomfortable spots — handing G2, and SkewMond's Nasus, an early lead they had no business holding. A Nasus with that kind of head start does not get solved late. By the end it read 12/0/3.

I love the competition and I really want to go to Worlds, and finally lift it. We are doing everything we can to get in the best shape — we still have some moves to go, but we will get there.
A Samurai in Korea
G2 now head to the Mid-Season Invitational in South Korea as EMEA's first seed. Speaking in his post-match interview after being named Finals MVP, SkewMond was already looking past the trophy.
I will be able to show that individually I can match every best junglers in the world.
Karmine Corp, who fought back through the lower bracket to get here, leave with the second MSI slot and the sense that this rivalry is far from settled — the same way it felt after Winter. But before any rematch with their European rival at MSI, they will first have to get through Play-ins — and face the second seed from the LCK's Road to MSI.
For now, though, none of that is G2's concern. The trophy is theirs, the devil was on their side — and that was enough.
solo-killed Hans Sama twice, in Game 4 and Game 5, the sharp end of a bot lane matchup KC controlled all series. Strip out SkewMond and this was an ordinary G2:
