2026 LCK Regular Season Opens April 1 With Worlds Final Rematch
The 2026 LCK Regular Season kicks off on April 1 at the LCK Arena in LoL Park, Seoul, with nine weeks of competition ahead. The opening day will feature Hanwha Life Esports
The two telecom rivals last met on the biggest stage of all — the 2025 World Championship Final, where T1 prevailed in a five-game thriller to lift the Summoner's Cup. T1 hold a commanding 66.9% historical win rate against KT, and their most recent meeting at the LCK Cup saw T1 pull off a reverse sweep after being down a set, completing a comeback from a 13,000 gold deficit in the deciding game.
The LCK's Saturday Showdown format, designed to pit the most compelling matchups against each other every week, returns with added weight this season.
Opening week features T1 vs Hanwha Life Esports — a match carrying extra storylines with former T1 players Choi "Zeus" Woo-je and Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong now wearing HLE jerseys. The two teams already clashed in the LCK Cup opener, with T1 winning 2-1 after dropping the first game.
Week three brings HLE vs Gen.G. The reigning LCK champions dominated nearly every competition in 2025, winning the unified LCK season, MSI, and the Esports World Cup, before adding the 2026 LCK Cup to their collection. Following a significant roster overhaul, HLE will be desperate to prove they can compete with the league's top dogs.
On May 2, the Saturday Showdown pits Gen.G against Dplus Kia — a matchup where DK have been on a losing streak spanning over three years. Whether they can finally break the curse will be one of the season's key storylines.
The regular season runs Wednesday through Sunday with two matches per day. Who will leave his mark on 2026 and qualify for the MSI on home soil?
