The head-to-head record decided the tiebreaker. Gen.G won three of the four meetings between the two teams, including both matches in rounds three and four.
The result extends a remarkable run of regular season dominance. Gen.G went 17-1 in both the Spring and Summer Splits in 2024, then posted a 29-1 record in 2025 under the single-season format.
Hanwha Life Esports finished the final week without dropping a single game. They dispatched Dplus KIA 2-0 on Thursday, then swept T1 2-0 in Sunday's season finale to lock in second place. As a result, they advance directly to Round 2 of the playoffs.
The Rise Group delivered a three-way tie, with HANJIN BRION
Hanjin BRION were the first to secure their Play-In ticket and topped the group on game differential. Nongshim RedForce and BNK FearX could not be separated even on games, so the head-to-head record settled it. Nongshim RedForce's 2-1 win over BNK FearX in Sunday's last match of the season handed them second place in the group.
The Play-In runs from August 26 to 28, featuring KT Rolster and the three Rise Group qualifiers. Two of the four teams will survive and join the playoffs, which start on August 29.
