Worlds 2026: inside the LCK’s bootcamp solo queueAlready qualified for MSI 2026 through the LCP's championship points system, Secret Whales used the playoffs to chase history rather than qualification — and delivered. They closed the split undefeated in series, dropping only six games across the 29 they played. The result also gives them a clean back-to-back after lifting the Split 1 trophy earlier this year.
The finals MVP went, predictably, to Lê "Hizto" Văn Hoàng Hải, who had already claimed the regular season MVP award. The 18-year-old jungler posted standout numbers across the series, including a 1,172 DPM game on Xin Zhao in the third map.
The other big story is DCG. The same roster played in tier two last year before winning the LCP promotion tournament, and they have now booked their first-ever international event in just their second LCP split — a remarkable arc for a team that no one had on the MSI radar twelve months ago.
The international picture clears up further. Secret Whales had already won the EWC APAC Qualifier earlier this year, with the second EWC slot reserved for the LCP split winner — meaning that now goes by default to runner-up GAM Esports, the team that finished second at the EWC qualifier. The four LCP representatives at the next major international stops are therefore locked: Secret Whales and DCG at MSI in Daejeon, Secret Whales and GAM at the EWC in Paris.
