TSW Hizto after TSW’s Worlds exit: “I feel empty”

Team Secret Whales arrived at Worlds as LCP champions and leave it 0-3, without a single win. DPM Esports caught up with Hizto after the elimination loss to LOS to talk about the gap between their scrims and their stage results, what the MSI win over Top Esports did to his expectations, and the apology he wanted to give the fans who stayed up for them.

I know this is a really tough moment for you. How are you feeling right now?

I feel empty, and very disappointed with our performance at this Worlds.

What’s the hardest part of going out this early?

The hardest part is realising that we made the wrong decisions, and that we are still lacking mechanically.

At MSI you made history by beating Top Esports in a BO5, and I feel like that really changed how people looked at TSW. Did that win also change your own expectations heading into this Worlds?

After winning against Top Esports 3-1 at MSI, I had a lot of expectations for myself and my team at this Worlds. But it seems like we’re going home empty-handed. The only thing I can say is that I will be back stronger and better next time.

Outside of what you showed on stage, did you at least get good practice? Did you feel you learned a lot in scrims against the teams you faced?

Outside of the stage, we actually had a lot of scrims at this Worlds, and it felt like we were not losing to anyone, to be honest. As in, not too far behind anyone at all. And it’s kind of weird how we ended up with this result.

From your perspective, how do you explain that you had good practice but couldn’t show it on stage?

Scrim results mean little to nothing. What matters the most is the results that we delivered on stage. And I think both me and my team will have to look back and reflect on what we have achieved this year.

Individually, you’ve won two LCP MVP awards this year and you made history with TSW at MSI. But now that your season ends like this, when you look back on 2026, will you remember it as a successful year, or will this Worlds leave a bitter taste?

Despite not having any win at this Worlds, looking back at the whole process, the whole year, I would say it’s still a pretty good year for me.

Right now I can see myself grabbing more wins for my region in the future.

You’re so young and so talented, and I feel like you represent a lot of the hope people have for the future of the LCP. Despite the disappointing ending, how do you make sure you keep believing in yourself and that you can come back stronger?

I will just think far ahead into the future. And right now I can see myself grabbing more wins for my region in the future.

What kind of player do you want to become over the next few years? What do you feel you still need to prove to yourself?

Honestly, I can’t tell for sure, because I’ll need some time to reflect on myself, and I’ll still have to see what my team needs or wants.

Is there anything you want to achieve, any dream you want to accomplish in the long career that still awaits you?

We’ll be back, and we’ll make sure that the fans will no longer be disappointed in us.

Anything you want to say to your fans before you close out your tournament?

I thank you all for the support that you have given me, and I’m really sorry to the fans who stayed up so late to cheer for us. We will be back stronger next time.
